Just a few of my favourite photos from my trip…
Abu Simbel - $270 and a 40 minute flight later, we had flown from Aswan to Abu Simbel, and it was the most amazing place I’ve ever seen. Definitely my favourite attraction in Egypt.
Luxor - This was the night of the dress up party, and it was… interesting. Egyptian dudes can definitely party, even without alcohol. L-R: Briony, Sandy, myself, Jennifer
Venice - One of the most beautiful cities in the world!
Paris - But this is probably the most beautiful city, despite everyone’s complaints about it being dirty (have you SEEN other big cities? Paris is not the dirtiest. Leave Paris alone)! This is the city I spent the most time in overall, and I’m so glad I did - it’s truly a wonderful place.
Prague - We spent half our day here sitting in a laundromat, but the first part of the day was spent on a lovely cruise along the Vltava, and the city is so amazingly beautiful! All of the buildings are old, and it’s just such a picturesque place.
Dresden - We only stopped here for a few hours, but I’ve included this photo because the people I love are in it; L-R: Myself, Brett, Kate, Jane, Prema and Issy
Barcelona - It’s a crime that I only spent a day here! There’s so many amazing things to see, one example being the location of this photo - Gaudi’s Parc Guell. A city that loves Gaudi as much as I do is a city definitely worth visiting.
French Riviera - This is on our way to the Grand Casino in Monte Carlo, where I used my first poker machine, lost €20, and swore off gambling in the space of an hour. L-R: Hannah, myself
Santorini - Also stunningly picturesque - not much to do in terms of culture (you’ll want the mainland for that stuff), but the views more than make up for it. My time here was somewhat dampened by the fact that I badly injured my tailbone on our first day… Smart move!
London - It was almost a relief to spend time in London after months in countries where I felt like a monolingual buffoon, but it was also easy to get around, so it was a nice way to end such a busy few months.
