(Photo of our Contiki group in Florence, December 2011) Well, that was a strange year. Finished high school, and the HSC. Turned 18. Travelled to Europe alone, did 2 tours around Europe and Egypt. Lost friends, but gained some amazing ones. Year 12 results were okay, considering the struggles this year. Tried countless new things, not all of which I’d care to try again… Overall, it was a good year, I’d say. Of course, nostalgia for all of it is already kicking in, so of course I say that now - my thinking was completely different 6 months ago, but so was I. And I think I’m okay with that. I’m excited for what 2012 will bring, and I hope post-high school life lives up to all the unrealistic expectations I have! Thank you immensely to all the wonderful friends, old and new, and even to those former friends - everything’s a learning experience, so thank you for the opportunity to grow! :) Hope everyone has a wonderful new years eve and a fantastic 2012. X
